Breastfeeding is natural, but that doesn’t mean it is always easy. Many new moms feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and drained in those first few weeks. You and your baby are learning a new skill together, and it can take time, effort, and patience while you both learn. Support from a breastfeeding professional early on can help make this learning process less stressful. I offer evidence based information about how breastfeeding and milk production work, I help with latching and positioning, and provide gentle guidance and support in a calm, gentle, relaxed way that encourages you and your baby to work together in harmony.
I am a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, trained by IBCLC Lea Todero of Mami Mia. I work with Lea to provide breastfeeding support that is covered under Aetna insurance. If you have Aetna, please fill out the intake form and we will contact you to set up a home-visit.
If you are not covered under Aetna, I offer breastfeeding support at a sliding scale rate $175-$200, this includes a 75 minute home visit and follow-up via phone or text. Two additional in-person follow-up visits are a reduced rate depending on the issue. I also offer individual phone consultations for $50.
“Julia was highly recommended by our birth doula and I found her to be professional, caring, and easy to reach. She’s stayed in touch with us during ups and downs with learning to feed and has been a positive partner.” – Mom to newborn baby boy
